Dave has been a member of the makerspace since its inception back in June 2011 at the Cup O' Kryponite coffee and comic book shop.
A man wearing many hats, he has served as the President of the makerspace's Board of Directors since 2018, as one of the Metal Shop Stewards, and as the sole steward of the Automotive Area (aka. "Auto Shop") since it was created that same year.
An unabashed LINUX user, when he's not working on vehicles in the Auto Area he can often be found talking with other members around the space, tinkering with computers, or talking on his ham radio.
In his spare time he races cars, but the cars usually win because they're much faster than him.
Dave was also a key member of Area 515's entry in the 2022 Red Bull race in downtown Des Moines.
