What Is e-NABLE?
e-NABLE is a global, volunteer-powered community united by one mission: using 3D printing technology to put free and low-cost prosthetic devices into the hands of those who need them. Founded on the idea that anyone with a desktop 3D printer and a little time can make a meaningful difference, e-NABLE has connected volunteers, makers, and recipients across more than 100 countries.
The devices aren't just functional. They're often customized in color and design, letting recipients (especially kids) wear something that feels truly their own. We've Built One, Come See It
A515 has taken up the e-NABLE challenge, and we're proud to announce that we've successfully printed and assembled our first device: the e-NABLE Phoenix Hand V3. The Phoenix Hand is one of the most refined and widely used designs in the e-NABLE library. It is a body-powered, wrist-driven hand designed for recipients with limb differences at or below the wrist.
Seeing it operate in person is something else entirely.
The Bigger Picture: Joining the e-NABLE Community
Our longer-term goal is to grow our local output to the point where we can register as an official e-NABLE chapter as a recognized resource within the global network. That would mean being matched with recipients in our region who need devices, collaborating with other chapters, and becoming a listed maker community that people in need can find and reach out to.
To get there, we need volunteers. The more devices and components we have assembled and quality-checked, the more credibility and capacity we build as a chapter.
